Today was the much-anticipated day we arrived in Bermuda! The ship docked around 8 AM, and after a quick breakfast, we were off to Horseshoe Bay Beach via Minivan. We were among the first to arrive, which meant we scored the perfect spot—with a beautiful view, a beach umbrella, and plenty of space to settle in.
The beach was absolutely stunning. The water was crystal clear and inviting. Shri and I took a long walk along the shoreline, all the way to the end, where we discovered some fascinating rock formations. We snapped a few photos before heading back for lunch. I had packed some delicious homemade food—god poli, paratha, chivda and shankarpali — which everyone enjoyed before taking a short rest.
Some in our group kept the adventures going with more time in the water. Jai went cliff jumping, and Shri and I went snorkelling. The underwater world was magical—we saw so many colourful fishes that we decided to bring our parents back later to experience it too. For the first time in my life, I saw a parrotfish up close, and it truly made my day. The joy on everyone’s faces, especially the parents, was priceless.
We spent a long, relaxing afternoon at the beach, soaking in the sunshine, swimming, and enjoying the surreal turquoise waters and soft pink sand. Bermuda’s beaches are beyond words—perfect water temperature, breathtaking color, and pure serenity.
After returning to the ship, we freshened up, had dinner, and got ready for an exciting evening at the Hamilton Festival. We took a water taxi to the capital, Hamilton, where we explored vibrant local stalls filled with crafts, food, and music. As we arrived, we caught a colorful parade by “Gombey” troup by local performers. It was full of energy and featured adorable children dancing and celebrating in costume—an unforgettable sight!
local fruit bar was delicious. Got to saw local artists and their work, bought some cool stuff. Had a great popping boba drink too.
Our return ferry was scheduled for 9 PM, but the line was long and it looked uncertain whether we’d make it. Thankfully, we did, and we were back by 9:30. As we stepped off the ferry, it began pouring, but luckily, the rain had stopped by the time we reached the ship.
It was an absolutely incredible day in Bermuda—one we’ll always remember.
