Our ship arrived in New York City around 3 AM. I woke up early at 5, hoping to catch one last sunrise from the cruise—but the sun was hidden behind the skyline, giving the morning a soft, hazy glow instead. Still, it was a peaceful moment. I met another woman on deck and ended up chatting with her for almost an hour, sharing stories and soaking in the final quiet moments onboard.
Afterwards, I took one last stroll around the ship, breathing in the sea air, sipping my tea, and letting it all sink in. Then it was time to head back to our room, finish packing, and enjoy breakfast with the family.
Although the cruise was ending, the celebrations weren’t! We had planned to spend the day in NYC to continue the birthday fun. After disembarking, we made our way to a park along one of the piers, relaxing and taking in the gorgeous Jersey-side view across the water.
Lunch was at a wonderful Indian restaurant, where we savored every bite of our favorite comfort food. We then took a casual stroll through the city and finally visited a park that had been on my wish list for a long time—a simple but meaningful moment.
By evening, we began our journey back home. We were definitely tired, but our hearts were full. The week had been packed with beautiful places, new experiences, and unforgettable memories shared with loved ones.
It was a truly incredible trip—a perfect mix of adventure, rest, laughter, and love. We returned home with contentment in our hearts and smiles on our faces.
