Bermuda Cruising : Day 8 - Sunday : Farewell Cruise, NYC Birthday Fun & Heading Home

Our ship arrived in New York City around 3 AM. I woke up early at 5, hoping to catch one last sunrise from the cruise—but the sun was hidden behind the skyline, giving the morning a soft, hazy glow instead. Still, it was a peaceful moment. I met another woman on deck and ended up chatting with her for almost an hour, sharing stories and soaking in the final quiet moments onboard. Afterwards, I took one last stroll around the ship, breathing in the sea air, sipping my tea, and letting it all sink in. Then it was time to head back to our room, finish packing, and enjoy breakfast with the family. Although the cruise was ending, the celebrations weren’t! We had planned to spend the day in NYC to continue the birthday fun. After disembarking, we made our way to a park along one of the piers, relaxing and taking in the gorgeous Jersey-side view across the water. Lunch was at a wonderful Indian restaurant, where we savored every bite of our favorite comfort food. We then took a casual stro...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 7 - Saturday : Relaxation, Reflection & Celebration

Our final day on the cruise began peacefully. I woke up early and, after my usual morning juice, we all headed to the dining room for breakfast—Shri’s favorite spot. It was a lovely English-style breakfast served with a charming tea set. The food was delicious, and the ambiance made it even more special. After breakfast, Baba wanted to relax in the hot tub, so Shri and I joined him. The weather was perfect for it—warm and breezy. We had some great conversations with two other friendly couples, soaking in both the warm water and good vibes. It felt like the perfect way to unwind. Later, we went back to one of the restaurants for lunch, wanting to savor one last taste of the world-class service. One thing we really appreciated was the portion sizes—each meal was served in four elegant courses, but in just the right quantity. It made every meal feel luxurious without being too heavy. We enjoyed our lunch by the window, watching the endless blue ocean as we ate. With full stomachs and hap...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 6 - Friday : Snorkeling Adventure & Farewell to Bermuda

I woke up early today, excited for our snorkeling trip after yesterday’s amazing experience. We had heard that Church Bay was one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Bermuda, and I couldn’t wait to explore it. The day started beautifully. I watched the sunrise—one of my favorite things to do at beach destinations—followed by a peaceful morning walk along the shore. After breakfast, we hopped on a minibus from the port to Church Bay. Just as we reached the beach, it started to rain! Thankfully, the natural rock formations gave us cover. The rain only lasted about 5–7 minutes, and we watched a dark cloud pass right over us and drift away. The beach was nearly empty—just 5 to 8 people. One couple mentioned they had seen a lot of fish while snorkeling, which got us even more excited. So excited for this snorkelling date! All set up to enjoy it! We geared up and walked into the ocean, but the water was rough and choppy. Waves kept pushing us out, making it hard to even stand or stay b...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 5 - Thursday : Exploring Bermuda

Today was all about exploring Bermuda by land. After a filling breakfast, we all got ready and set out on a private taxi tour to discover more about the island—its history, culture, and hidden gems. Our guide, Louis, was born and raised in Bermuda, and his family has lived here for three generations. His knowledge and stories brought the island to life. Next, we visited a historic lighthouse, and Shri and I decided to climb all the way to the top. It was worth every step—the 360° view of the green landscape and shimmering blue beaches was simply stunning. From up there, Bermuda looked like a postcard. As we drove through different towns, Louis shared interesting facts and stories about Bermuda’s past. He explained that Hamilton is the capital (which we had visited the previous evening), but today we explored St. George’s, a charming and historic town. We wandered through the streets, admired the town hall, browsed cute local gift shops, and discovered a quaint lemonade stand. The lady...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 4 - Wednesday: Exploring Bermuda

Today was the much-anticipated day we arrived in Bermuda! The ship docked around 8 AM, and after a quick breakfast, we were off to Horseshoe Bay Beach via Minivan. We were among the first to arrive, which meant we scored the perfect spot—with a beautiful view, a beach umbrella, and plenty of space to settle in. The beach was absolutely stunning. The water was crystal clear and inviting. Shri and I took a long walk along the shoreline, all the way to the end, where we discovered some fascinating rock formations. We snapped a few photos before heading back for lunch. I had packed some delicious homemade food—god poli, paratha, chivda and shankarpali — which everyone enjoyed before taking a short rest. Some in our group kept the adventures going with more time in the water. Jai went cliff jumping, and Shri and I went snorkelling. The underwater world was magical—we saw so many colourful fishes that we decided to bring our parents back later to experience it too. For the first time in my l...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 3 - Tuesday : Exploring Cruise

After fasting on Monday, I woke up early feeling quite hungry. Around 6:30 AM, I started my day with a refreshing glass of celery juice, followed by a hearty breakfast. We decided to head to the adults-only area of the ship, which was much quieter than the main pool deck. It had some amazing spa loungers and a relaxing atmosphere. Everyone got ready and enjoyed some time in the water. There were cozy seating spots and even some misting stations, making it a really cool and refreshing experience. Later, we all freshened up and had a delicious lunch. The afternoon was laid-back—we spent time relaxing in different parts of the ship. Every day, we’ve been discovering new corners, playing different games, and enjoying the wide variety of programs the cruise offers. There’s always something happening, and we’re just going with the flow, taking in what we enjoy most. In the evening, we watched a live show called Back to the 1990s. It was a fantastic production with great music, a talented cas...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 2 - Monday: Exploring, Relaxing, and Soaking in Cruise Life

I started the day with a pleasant surprise—freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices! I went with a glass of celery juice to kick off my morning feeling healthy and refreshed. The rest of the day was all about exploring more corners of this massive floating city. We wandered through the many shops, discovered cozy little sitting areas perfect for people-watching, and caught glimpses of various live shows happening throughout the ship. There was always something going on—music, comedy, dance, and entertainment at every turn. Of course, food was a highlight again today! From casual bites to more elaborate meals, every dining spot had something delicious waiting for us. By evening, we found a really cool outdoor area with a giant movie screen. Families, couples, and groups of friends had gathered there, lounging on deck chairs under the stars, enjoying the movie with sea breeze in the air. The vibe was relaxed and fun—perfect for unwinding after a day full of activities. It was on...
