Super Productive Weekend!

Friday as usual started with Jais swim followed by Marathi Shaka for both of us.

This Friday it was refreshing as compared to previous weeks since I saw lots of progress in reading in every kid and class ended with dance with singing cute Marathi ‘badbad Geeta’.

Recently we are watching ‘Partner Track’ whenever we get time, we are enjoying it a lot! So watched one episode and slept to wake up early for big day….which I have been planning for last 8 weeks.

We woke up and reached church for pancake breakfast fundraiser at 8. All the scouts and volunteers were there. According to plan they helped set up and started cooking. I printed cute order forms which scouts loved. I cooked lots and lots of pancakes after everything was lined up! It was lot of fun and my dream come true to cook these many pancakes. Got lot of compliments for perfect pancakes! Event was very successful and we raised around $1100.

Came home 2pm and relaxed while connecting with Shri’s brother’s families.

Neighbor friend invited for dinner so no cooking. After long long time I enjoyed the chats and laughed a lot! It was very refreshing!!

Spent whole day studying for exam on Monday morning except making lunch and dinner. Dosa lunch and pasta dinner was very satisfying!!

Went out for a bit with Ram to get some stuff for him.

Jai spent afternoon with his friend over and then with another friend to Urban air.

Another Big thing this weekend was, Ram started his job in Japanese restaurant. He worked Friday and Saturday for 3 hours and for his first check on Saturday itself!

Monday morning I had exam and I passed it…..uuuhuuu!!

Super solid weekend!

Earlier this week I got second prize for pie baking contest too…Happy! Happy!!

Canadian Rockies - Day 2 - The Dream Day: Larch Valley Hike & Moraine Lake Magic

We started our second day in the Canadian Rockies with our little tradition — a steaming cup of masala tea. There’s nothing like that comforting aroma to kick off an adventurous morning. While sipping our tea, we had a great chat with our wonderful host, Jeremy -  a biker, traveler, and author of two books. He’s been around the world on his bike, and listening to his stories was truly inspiring. After breakfast, it was time for one of the most anticipated parts of our trip - the Larch Valley hike and visiting my dream destination, Moraine Lake! We grabbed some Subway sandwiches from Banff downtown to fuel up later on the trail and then headed toward Moraine Lake by shuttle. We started the hike around 12:30 PM, and wow — it was steep and challenging right from the beginning. But every step upward brought more breathtaking views of Moraine Lake below. The turquoise water kept peeking through the trees as we climbed higher and higher. As we gained elevation, the larches turned gold...

Bermuda Cruising : Day 1 – Sunday: Setting Sail from New York City 🚢🌆

The excitement was real as we wrapped up breakfast and left home around 9:30 AM, all packed and ready for our 7-day adventure to Bermuda. As we drove into the city, the first glimpse of our cruise ship took our breath away—it stood tall and majestic on the Hudson River, a true floating city! Check-in was smooth, and by 2 PM, we were officially on board. The sheer size of the ship amazed all of us—18 floors packed with restaurants, shops, a buzzing casino, lively bars, pools, a full amphitheater, a grand theater, and even water slides and a giant rope course towering on the 18th floor! Watching our parents and in-laws marvel at everything around them was heartwarming. For them, this was like stepping into a whole new world—a luxurious hotel on water. The kids were already eyeing the pools and adventure zones, while we were still soaking in the scale of it all. After a delicious lunch at one of the onboard restaurants, we headed up to the open deck for sail-away views of the iconic N...

Canadian Rockies - Day 1 - Waking Up to the Magic of Canmore and the Rockies

After a late-night arrival at around 2 AM, we finally woke up to our first morning in the Canadian Rockies - and what a surprise it was! Since we had reached in the dark, we had no idea what surrounded us. When I stepped out onto the balcony, I was greeted by a breathtaking view - majestic mountains all around, their peaks kissed by the early morning light. It was one of those moments that instantly fills you with gratitude and excitement for the day ahead. We had masala tea, got ready, and decided to explore downtown Canmore. The streets were charming, lined with cozy cafés, boutiques, and local art shops - all against the stunning mountain backdrop. It felt like stepping into a postcard. For brunch, we stopped at an amazing Indian restaurant called Mumbai Local, and oh my goodness - the food was phenomenal! We ordered dahi puri, soya chaap, and triple schezwan fried rice, and everything was bursting with flavor. It felt like a comforting taste of home right in the middle of the Rocki...
