Our weekends diary

It is a big blessing when you get to marry to your college sweetheart. Due to my mom's support and great trust in my choices, I can be here with my love doing amazing things together.   It feels like we just got married and here we celebrated our 20th Anniversary!! We really wanted to do something special for this milestone!   We decided to go and stay in New York City with lots of different activities planned.   This was a first trip without kids after 10 years :) Our neighbor took Jai for skiing for that weekend and Ram was busy with his work, studies, swimming practice and college applications so worked out really well for us.   We got up late on Saturday and headed to NYC for authentic Chinese dumpling lunch in China town.   Food was mind blowing and on the way got to do some shopping too! After that we headed to checkin for hotel and got ready for our photoshoot appointment. Photographer was really talented, he took some great shots. Especially it was funny...

Friday as usual started with Jais swim followed by Marathi Shaka for both of us. This Friday it was refreshing as compared to previous weeks since I saw lots of progress in reading in every kid and class ended with dance with singing cute Marathi ‘badbad Geeta’. Recently we are watching ‘Partner Track’ whenever we get time, we are enjoying it a lot! So watched one episode and slept to wake up early for big day….which I have been planning for last 8 weeks. We woke up and reached church for pancake breakfast fundraiser at 8. All the scouts and volunteers were there. According to plan they helped set up and started cooking. I printed cute order forms which scouts loved. I cooked lots and lots of pancakes after everything was lined up! It was lot of fun and my dream come true to cook these many pancakes. Got lot of compliments for perfect pancakes! Event was very successful and we raised around $1100. Came home 2pm and relaxed while connecting with Shri’s brother’s families. Neighbor frien...

I was off Friday so we went out for some shopping and ate lunch out! Best Thai food ever! Friday evening Jai went for camping and I did my Marathi school as usual. Ram started building his keyboard! Saturday it was supposed to pour but it turned out nice and Jai and his troop could do tons of activities outdoor! Me and Shri went to friends place for Diwali get together, it was my time in long time to go in this big group for some celebrations. I was not feeling to but shri pulled me hard. I made this ice cream cake in the morning! Just a simple outfit for the evening! Met many amazing people!! Sunday did Shri’s haircut! And it was 50th! It was a great weekend!

It was so warm this weekend we ended up spending lot of time outside! Friday started with Marathi Shala while Ram took Aaji, aaba and Jai to Vallabhdham!  It was a proud moment for me and Shri✨💕✨ Aaba wrote about Naatu and it was a beautiful post! Online and a neighborhood friend in person then went out for lunch! The highlight was mangonada margarita! We spent some time along the lake! On the way back enjoyed some ice cream at a creamery!! Then we enjoyed the clam afternoon at a lake and spent evening watching tv while Jai enjoyed hot tub with his friends and some s’mores! It was a beautiful Saturday!!

Last few days were rough, after long time we did something on weekend. Mom must be happy to see me doing our day trips and back to exploring! Saturday Jai had a scout leadership training so we both decided to take Ram out for lunch, our favorite place PlanB. It was really good Time with Ram. Weather to sit out and eat was perfect! Drives around the town were beautiful! Sunday we had a planned visit to UMAss for Ram! It was immense pleasure to checkout College where Shri did MBA. It is a beautiful campus! This is the library which is 24 floor tall! And the food was mind blowing! We enjoyed it a lot!! On the way back stopped over this beautiful trail along Connecticut river. Ended day with fresh plum tart! Monday was time to finally visit Legoland! We postponed ticket from last year at least 5 times 😃 It was dream come true for Jai even if he was visiting Legoland for third time 🤪 (NewYork one, first time though) He still wants to go more!
