Our weekends diary

Pooja and Shanthan came on Friday. In the afternoon I had live rangoli demo for office Diwali celebration. Food was ready by the time they came. Kids went in hot tub while we had good time chatting.  Dasara menu came out perfect We finished dinner early and got ready for garba. We had a blast, it was me and Pooja dancing but we had total blast. Kids danced in between. Saturday was Poojas birthday, made birthday breakfast and went for hike to Talcott mountain.  While coming ate in Plan B as per Poojas choice. Came home, got ready for cake cutting. Neerja Poojas friend came with another cake. I made gluten-free cake, Pooja loved it. Sunday went to Traders joe where I found veli mogra and was so happy to get it! Ate Rasham biryani for lunch and said goodbye to Pooja Shanthan. It was eventful weekend!

Friday started with Marathi class and then we watched black widow Saturday got up early for release. After release went for hair color. Came home, made lunch and completed yard work of transferring plants! Felt accomplished!! After yard work went for a haircut, it came out really nice! Feeling good. Came home made coconut laddus for Navratri Pooja on Saturday and Sunday. Got ready and went to Akilas house for golu, Tamil celebration of Navratri. Recited Shrikuta at her home! It was good to be to see the new type of celebration!! Came home and made a nice video for Nagpur aie birthday! Came out awesome!! Sunday woke up late due to long Saturday. After waking up talked with college friends, it was hostel room 1&2 reunion. Also Celebrated Racchus birthday. It was good to see so many of them after ages. Then we celebrated Aies birthday. After that called Tanvi Sarang. By the time we wrapped up India calls it was time to go to Naveens house for Bathukamma. I had absolute amazing time!! ...

Friday had my first ever cooking show in office organised by APpN, I had absolute blast!! Got lot of compliments on the recipe and my kitchen too!! Evening it was our first Marathi school day! I started teaching beginner level and Jai started first standard. Saturday had yummy omelette breakfast after long time. After that we prepared for Jais camping.  Shri and Jai went for Jais soccer game, his team won this time too. After they headed to camping. They hiked and Jai played soccer, football, watched stars, made marshmallows and lots of talking with friends. While they were gone. Me and Ram ate lunch on deck. After Rams home work he went to play volleyball with friends and I finished all my long pending work. In the eve we both went for walk, ordered sushi and watched movie. It was a nice time spending together. Sunday  after Shri came we had to complete our yard work so Shri went to get stuff from lowes while I harvested lot of veggies and cooked big meal, bhindi bhaji, dal w...

Friday made a Thali from all garden veggies! It was super satisfying  Saturday ate poha and went to watch Jais game! They won!!yayyyy! After that we ate long lunch at planB! Yummylicious!! When we reached home late afternoon, everything was cleaned by cleaning lady! I just relaxed and took a small nap too in the upstairs Rams cozy sleeping room!! Sunday Shri took Ram to Boston for keyboard meet and took care of some pending items at home.  Jai and his friend Gautham made donuts And made the decoration for it 😊

What a fulfilling and accomplished weekend!! Saturday had a relaxing breakfast and then cleaned Bappa Ghar to get ready for Bappa next weekend while Shri took Jai to his first soccer game for the season. Cleaning leafy cleaned the whole house and did deep self clean for oven too! Sooooo clean everything!! Made pesarattu for lunch after long time! It was time to make Bappa in clean house 😃 This time it came around 2 ft., Shri made the special bench for Bappa 😊 Jai made his Bappa in 20mins 😃 Watched a movie and slept with contentment!! On Sunday it was a rainy day so decided to finish indoor work. Shri and Ram went to IKEA to get stuff for his room while Jai went to new Marvel movie with his friend. I enjoyed some me time in Michael’s to get ready for Monday Bappa workshop. Monday woke up early and went for a walk with friend. We started 6:30 and did 6mile walk, it was a refreshing morning. Today was really exciting day! I was going to hike in Yosemite, dream come true!! We started around 7:30 for Vernal Fall. We were stuck ay the first sport where we saw emerald pool, glowing half dome in morning sun and water flowing through big rocks.  We resumed back on the hike, it was super steep and first glimpse of fall was breath taking. Hike was getting difficult and difficult, we had 600+ steps to climb to go up the fall. It was great experience. Abhinav and Jai wanted to stop in between but we convince then to go up. After reaching there, it was again emerald pool with cold water. We relaxed there for while and started our journey back.  We were super hungry by 2pm since we were eating bars and oranges. They had grill, we ate there and food was good. It was time to start for Lake Tahoe. Again the road was very different, beautiful landscapes. We reached Lake Tahoe around 10, was very excited to see the lake in the morning. It was hard to say bye bye to Yosemite!! Anot...

We started for Yosemite around 8 and reached around 1, drive was very different. First we stopped at these street side fruit shop which was surrounded by almond trees. We picked some and ate, this was mind blowing. We bought lot of stuff from there. Before entering Yosemite we stopped at Tanuga Lodge for lunch, another amazing place. Food was fresh and yummy with pool view. Kids has nice play area so they played there. Also there was small stream where we stayed for a while. After reaching Yosemite we decided to stop on river beach and our first stop was simply beautiful with so clean river and huge granite mountains! Jai jumped many times off of the cliff on river and we did river walk .  It was time to checkin to our tent. It was very neat and clean with all the necessary facilities.  We kept our stuff there and went to ate pizza since that was only option available after 6. Smores pizza was something different!!
