Labor Day Weekend at Newport

Long weekend was nice and relaxing. Started with lazy Saturday.

Did 4th haircut for Shri at home

Sunday morning started with Hot air Ballon flying over our house

Then we headed to Newport after yummy breakfast of Idli sambar, chutney.

We started with Ocean drive and stopped at this calm place where people were catching clams! Jai and Aadi had blast in water

Jai tasted fresh caught clam!

They had conversation with this guy who was catching clams

They played ball and we also had lunch of sandwiches and idli

Next destination was Fort Adams!

Rocky beach was very refreshing!

Fort Adams is absolutely amazing! Walk along ocean and around the fort was beautiful!!

After this we went to a beach on ocean drive, again Jai had a blast with Aadi. He did amazing floating and underwater while we strolled with Zuko.

Then we headed to this beautiful trail along ocean called Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. This was the best in whole trip!!

This sunset made me do some meditation! Out of the world hike!!

These spots were along the hike to sit and relax!!

If we are visiting ocean, trip is not complete without seafood.

We found this absolutely yummy place along the ocean side town and eat the food along ocean walk!

Absolutely beautiful day!!

Canadian Rockies - Day 2 - The Dream Day: Larch Valley Hike & Moraine Lake Magic

We started our second day in the Canadian Rockies with our little tradition — a steaming cup of masala tea. There’s nothing like that comforting aroma to kick off an adventurous morning. While sipping our tea, we had a great chat with our wonderful host, Jeremy - a biker, traveler, and author of two books. He’s been around the world on his bike, and listening to his stories was truly inspiring. After breakfast, it was time for one of the most anticipated parts of our trip - the Larch Valley hike and visiting my dream destination, Moraine Lake! We grabbed some Subway sandwiches from Banff downtown to fuel up later on the trail and then headed toward Moraine Lake by shuttle. We started the hike around 12:30 PM, and wow — it was steep and challenging right from the beginning. But every step upward brought more breathtaking views of Moraine Lake below. Bermuda Cruising : Day 1 – Sunday: Setting Sail from New York City 🚢🌆

The excitement was real as we wrapped up breakfast and left home around 9:30 AM, all packed and ready for our 7-day adventure to Bermuda. As we drove into the city, the first glimpse of our cruise ship took our breath away—it stood tall and majestic on the Hudson River, a true floating city! Check-in was smooth, and by 2 PM, we were officially on board. The sheer size of the ship amazed all of us—18 floors packed with restaurants, shops, a buzzing casino, lively bars, pools, a full amphitheater, a grand theater, and even water slides and a giant rope course towering on the 18th floor! Watching our parents and in-laws marvel at everything around them was heartwarming. For them, this was like stepping into a whole new world—a luxurious hotel on water. The kids were already eyeing the pools and adventure zones, while we were still soaking in the scale of it all. Day 6 - Machu Picchu

Day started early morning with the light from transparent roof! It was hard to getup from lovely lavender scented bed, but very much excited since this was the day!! Yes today we were going to visit Machu Picchu, which was in wish list from 8-9 year. It was a dream coming true destination. Took shower and went for breakfast. Breakfast with fresh fruits, juices and freshly baked bread butter gave us energy. Kids loved the resort so much that they did want to live the place. Taxi came on time and again we started towards Ollyantatambu train station. We booked vista dome, we were excited for this ride since this was our first experience for this kind of train. Vista domb had big glass windows and glass roof to enjoy the views. The train started and we started our journey to Aguascalientes along Urubamba river.
