Day 7 - Monteverde

We decided to visit cloud forest early morning. Breakfast in the hotel was served perfect. The hike was good but didn't see many animals or birds but got to see quetzal the national bird 4-5 times. Saw snake There was a nice waterfall in the forest. Humming birds, there were many since they had a feeder Bird baby in the nest On the way back we bought mangoes and enjoyed it. They have lots and lots of fruits. All week we enjoyed fruits and smoothies and juices. Also Costa Rican coffee is famous. After packing we headed towards San Jose by bus.  First one hour was through mountains and then almost plain. The weather as compared to la Fortuna and Monteverde was totally different. It was hot and dry. On the way saw many mango trees with lots of mangoes. Some of the trees were pouring mangoes on ground. I wish I was able to stop And collect those mangoes. 

Day 5 - La Fortuna

It was time for rainforest bird watching. In the morning after breakfast we went to look for some rainforest animals.  In the hotel Our cabin We had a guide and he was very knowledgeable. He showed us many beautiful birds and few animals. It was great since we were just 5 and guide could show and explain better.  First animal we saw was basilisque Or Jesus's lizard. Our guide took pictures in my camera attaching to his scope. What a great idea.  Looking for toucan. We saw 3-4 but couldn't capture it. Actually when we checked in our hotel and were walking in the room, we saw two. It's an amazing bird and not in cage, freely flying. Day 6 - La Fortuna to Monteverde

We took a jeep-boat-jeep ride to Montverde, a cloud forest town. The ride is absolutely gorgeous and unique  View from boat After boat, road to Monteverde was breathtaking  Out hotel in Monteverde was Costa Rican style rooms and they had common breakfast area to sit, play games, watch tv and small kitchen if u want to try something.  Outside the room Inside the room Jai and Baba playing game while waiting for taxi to coffee tour In the afternoon we took coffee tour and learned many things. First of all we got a ride in cart. We got to have fresh sugar cane juice and sugar cane and main attraction of the tour freshly made chocolate in front of us from coco beans. Ram helped her to grind coco beans and she added cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, coarse grinned coffee beans, and some red chili. It was the best chocolate!! Enjoyed to the fullest. Day 4 - La Fortuna

Ram was super excited for his first horse back riding. He got to do it in rain forest. Jai was excited too. The ride difficult sometimes but ram was not little scared and don't want to say anything about Jai. He was talking to the horsi continuously without break. He didn't give chance to horsi to get bored.  Our destination was a lake. We reached there and the rain started pouring. After enjoying beautiful views and exchanging cultural knowledge with each other we didn't realize how the time was passes. When we started back it was drizzling and was fun. Beautiful view of volcan arenal!! Then we went to Las Lacos hot spring park. It has hot spring pool and normal pool too. No need to tell, Jai and Ram had blast. They were not ready to come out.
