Our weekends diary

Friday started watching movie with kids but since had a release went to bed in between. Woke up early on Saturday for release and wrapped up around 9. Jai went to beach with Dom and we dropped of Ram for volunteering at town’s summer fest. Jai had blast  We had good breakfast at home so we decided to go on trail. The trail is as along lake but lake was not much visible. It was ok. Due to storm there were trees on trails. On the way home got Indian grocery and made idli sambar for lunch after long time. Also had long chats with aie baba and Ana. It was time to watch something good and found an awesome series Emily in Paris. Could relate to everything in Paris and France overall, it was so much fun! Sunday booked remaining booking for SFO. It was a very clam weekend, got many things done though!

After amazing Cape May stay we decided to spend 4th of July at Edison and watch Macy’s fireworks in NY. We reached on Friday and got to meet Shruti-Abhijit. It was Saturday evening with lots of chatting and yummy wada- paav by Priti. Woke up late on Sunday and spend morning time with cute Neely, read him books and talked a lot. After breakfast and lunch went to a park and relaxed in shade while kids were playing.  After that visited Indian store to prepare for Monday trip to Bear mountain. Priti bought jelabi, kajukatli and boondi ladoo. We ate that after ages. In the evening Priti booked a table in restaurant where the concept is farm to table, food was simply very fresh! Everyone enjoyed it!! Monday we started early for bear mountain and reached on time to do paddle boat. We all enjoyed it very much.  Then we took kids to play area. After coming back from play area enjoyed parathas and headed home. Kids were missing Zuko. Ruhi came with us and we all were so excited for her ...

In May everyone in the neighborhood group discussed to go out together and decided to plan something in July. Last year I came across this amazing place called Asuable Chasm and decided to visit this year. It was perfect to visit with group so started planning. Found an amazing camp ground near chasm which was on Lake Champlain. It was hard to get a spot but we got one by one by constant check. All the booking was done including rock climbing at chasm. After discussing with group only few were ready for rock climbing so I gave an option of classic tour or premium tour. Premium tour had adventure trail so 12 of us decided to do that and rest went for classic tour which has river trail and raft ride. We were watching for weather closely since it was showing rain. The morning of travel it was just cloudy so we started in the afternoon. Priti and Sau also decided to join this trip. We reached there around 7 and the party started.we set up tents and ate all the yummy food everyone got! Kids...

Last day of our trip! Today had to do the beach walk so woke up early. Today the special thing was Jai also joined the walk!! This was most memorable walk of the trip since it was last and with one of the kid 😃  After walk we went to breakfast and had relaxing breakfast at the beach. After that went home and wrapped up to checkout. It was hard to say bye to beautiful place. Shanthan Pooja came to pick up Anay. It was lunch time to we decided to go to winery and have food and wine. Before that we went to sunset beach and spend time with Kiki in sand while kids did mini golf with Pooja. Winery was awesome! Live music, fountain made it very soothing. We relaxed on sofa, had wine and yummy, quality food! This was end of our mind blowing trip!!

First time did not wake early due to rain. Checked around 6 and it was pouring so decided to go back to bed and get some more energy. Woke up at 8 and it was still raining so got ready for office, made breakfast and tea. Enjoyed outside on porch with beautiful rain and sea.  Closed office around 12:30. Luckily rain was stopped by time so took a walk on beach. Came back ate lunch from Chinese place and headed for lighthouse state park. Climbed up the lighthouse, views were stunning! Saw lot of cranes near the pond and decided to watch them from close.  After lighthouse headed to beach and on the way looked for cranes but no luck to watch from close since the watching platform was closed. Beach was just amazing so kids couldn’t stop to soak in waves. It was an unplanned soak. While I went to car to get towels, Shri saw some dolphins and could capture them. It was wow moment. From beach while coming back I found the platform to watch crane from binoculars! It was out of the world...
